Everything. Full access to all features, and your first 50 bookings are free. Upgrade to a paid plan whenever you're ready, or walk away if it's not right for you. We'll give you a heads-up when you're close to using your first 50 free bookings, so you can decide if you want to continue.

Can I switch plans later?

Yes. As your business grows, you can upgrade your plan. You can do it yourself anytime, directly from your account.

What are the actual payment processing fees?

With Understory Pay, you'll save around 19% on card payments and up to 30% on local methods compared to what you'd pay with typical processors. The exact amount depends on which payment method your guests choose.

What about gift card fees?

Between 2.5-6% depending on your plan. You keep the rest. And if someone never redeems their gift card, that money stays with you.

Can I add my whole team to Understory?

Yes, and it won't cost you extra. Add guides, managers, your bookkeeper – whoever needs access.

What happens if I need to cancel my plan?

You keep using Understory until the end of what you've already paid for. After that, we can help you export your data and take it wherever you're going.

Is there a discount for paying annually?

Yes. Pay for the year upfront, and you'll save 17% compared to monthly billing.

Is my guest data secure?

Yes. We're GDPR compliant, your data stays encrypted, and guest payment information is tokenised so it's never stored in plain text.

How long does it take to set up and go live?

Less than a day. We set up your account before your onboarding meeting, so when you sit down with your specialist, most of the work is already done. You're reviewing, refining, and going live, not starting from scratch.

Understory is built for people who run experience businesses, not tech experts. During your onboarding meeting, we build everything together – payments, experiences, your booking page. If you can use a booking calendar, you can manage Understory.

Can I try Understory before committing?

You can get started for free, and if Understory isn’t the right fit, you can cancel anytime. We’re here to help you find what works best for your business.
